Last saturday, nothing to do, after breakfast, bought some flower for my 1st macro project. code name - flower macro. This is the 1st time i shoot Flowers in Macro. I shoot all these at home with some simple setup like colour paper as backdrop, water sprey, speedlight and a white card as reflector. Gears used: D70s, Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 + uniplus 25mm extension tube, SB600 with difusser.

Tioman Island Trip @ Berjaya Beach & Spa Resort

I, yauyau and mum went to Pulau Tioman last 2 weeks (8 - 11 Apr 06) by Berjaya Air and stay in Berjaya Resort. The weather over there is just nice for whole trip and suitable for snorkeling and of course, shoots photo.

The Berjaya Flight very noise and I almost can’t stand the diesel smell.

In term of Stability, of course can’t compare to 737. If you are sensitive to motion sickness, good luck to you.

Here is the Arrival Hall at Tioman.

8 apr (1st day)

We reached tioman around 2pm and the airport so small. We took the Berjaya shuttle bus to Resort, check in, makan, take rest, walk and look around (a lot of foreign tourist + bikini leng lui). We have booked the snorkeling + round islands trip at the counter RM60 per pax for 6 islands, the price is not bad. Around 7pm, is time for dinner!!! Our dinners are BBQ buffet at the pool side (the food really sucks) and go back to room. Call off the day.

9 apr (2nd day)

9.30am we gathered at the Berjaya Jetty and wait for the boat to round islands. The sea is so clear and a lot of fishes. i cant really swim, so just snorkeling around the boat. The coral is so beautiful + many many of fishes just swim around me. Wao… Heaven.

After snorkeling at 6 small islands, reached resort around 3pm. clean ourselves, take some rest and prepare to shoot sunset. This day, we went outside to take dinner. Just outside the resort only, the food is much nicer than resort's food. After dinner, bought some duty free beer and go back to room and watch TV. Around 10pm, felt hungry again, so walk to Malay stall that also just outside of berjaya resort. The mee pattaya and burger very nice and the price is reasonable also. After taken supper, ZZZzzzz.....

10 apr (3rd day)

3rd day is my photo shooting day, whole day just shoot from morning until evening. i was using my d70 and my gal was using her Fuji F10.

11 Apr (last day)

After breakfast, went to the Berjaya Lake to shoot the lizard. The lizards are very fat. Good to eat and nice to sleep. After lizard shooting, take bath, prepare, check out and balik rumah :)

We saw this extreme lazy cat was sleeping on the seat. no matter how you touch it, kacau it, it wouldnt bother you. hehe

How To Encrypt BitTorrent Traffic

I think TM Net started to limit P2P bandwidth because the bittorrent download slower and slower Check the list of bad ISP and TM Net is in the list.

But there is a solution. Encrypting your torrents will prevent throttling ISP’s from shaping your traffic. I will show you how to enable encryption in Azureus and Bitcomet, the 2 most popular torrent clients.

What does encryption Do?

The RC4 encryption obfuscates not only the header but the entire stream. This means that it’s very hard for TM Net to detect that the traffic you are generating comes from BitTorrent.

How can I do this?

Azureus

1. Tools > Options > Connection > Transport Encryption

2. Check the ‘require encrypted transport’ box.

3. Choose RC4 in the ‘minimum encryption’ dropdown box

BitComet

1. Options > Preferences > Advanced > Connection

2. Go to: ‘Protocol encryption’ You can choose between ‘auto detect’ and ‘always’. Auto detect will give you more connections but offers less protection against traffic shapers.

I would recommend to try auto detect first, if that doesn’t increase your speeds you need to switch to always

I just scanned my ID Badge and pull the door as usual but dont know why suddenly the door slide off.

the lucky thing is i was still holding the door if not already became thousand of pieces...

now the whole office knew i am the hercules :)

Went to this restaurant last weekend with KC and housemates. this restaurant was recommanded by Chang Weng. even we are staying so near also not aware about this. :p

I parked my car at BTS and wanted to take Monorail to KLCC (save petro ma now RM1.92 per liter ) Once I came out from basement, saw this event. Since still got plenty of time for BMW Vintage Car Show at KLCC, so sit down and wait for the event to start. This is my 1st time to take dancing event, so sit down and think how and what should i shot. Set to M Mode, S=400, A=3.5 or 4, ISO 400, EV +0.3, direct flash with compensation -0.7 so the flash wont be too hash to the object. When the event started, i shoot the pic like portairt mode (half body) after quick review of photos, no no no... not nice so change style by shoot in full body, at least more than half body... emm... now much more better... what do you think ? hehe..

21 & 22 Jan - We went for this performance show for both days. Thanks to yauyau because she spent a lot of time to check the info and planned what to shoot for me :) ai ni.
Before 1 hour the performance show start, we already standby there and spot a place for good angle to shoot.
1st day, shoot only 1/2 of the event, 1GB finished liao... didnt bring HDD or laptop, damn.... after this event shooting only reliase 1GB is not enough, so after sold my wide angle and hoya +3 filter, go straight to lowyat to buy another 1GB.
2nd day, brought laptop as well and went back to 1u again and continue shoot happy happy now

The performance was so great and we decided to buy their VCD for my grandpa and yauyau's mum.

7th Jan - today is our 8th Aniversary Celebration. We went out to 1 U for celebration.
we went there jalan jalan, until hungry, we stop by at Ms Read for our lunch.
Read the review from "babeinthecitykl", not bad so decided give a try.
generally, the environment is good.

of course, as "babeinthecitykl" reviews, the foods are delicious as well.
We ordered ceasar salad, Lemon Meringue Pie as dessert, and hot lemon honey tea.
All foods are so nice :)

about 7pm, we had our dinner at Fish & Co because we crazy about seafood recently.
as usual, we ordered seafood platter for 2 and isotronic lime juice and passion fruit drink.
dont know why, this round they use a very big sotong, not nice at all because too soft and taste like under cook. yiaks....
other than sotong, others are nice :D

2nd Penang Trip since Aug 2005 :D

24, 25 & 26 Dec 2005 - Yes, we went to Penang again but with different friends. This time round we went with KC, Hui Ling, Ee kin & Ee kin's unknown status friend (hehehe) ;) This time no more Shalini's Guesthouse but we stayed in a very nice and special low rate sea view family suite in Crown Jewel at Tanjung Bungah. Thanks to KC.

On the way to Penang, we stopped by Bidor for their very famous Herbal Duck Shop Noodle. We saw so many people selling petai by the road side. Besides duck noodle, i think petai is another famous food in Bidor.

As usual, once we reached Penang, go straight to Lorong Selamat we so called Modern Sister's Char Kuew Tiao. No need to say, long queue but is damn nice.

During dinner, we went to The Ship to enjoy our Christmas Eve Dinner. Basically we ordered 2 sets of Christmas Eve menu for yau yau & hui ling, Seafood Platter for KC and I have ordered Rib Eye Steak. After dinner, we went jalan jalan along Batu Feringgi night market.

After jalan jalan, we went to Island Plaza to do some shopping then went back to hotel because not really much activity at night. After taken bath, nothing to do, shoot some night view of Tanjung Bunga, quite nice. Around 11pm damn sleepy and tidur liao.

Next day morning, woke up around 7am and wanted to go Bukit Bendera after taken breakfast in Hotel, but no luck, early morning already full of people. so we decided to give up Bukit Bendera and go straight to Kek Lok Si. on the way to kek lok si, we found out another water reservoir park with very nice scenery. a lot of ppl jog there. After took some picture, we continue our journey to kek lok si. As usual, nothing much to mention, shoot the same scenery again. but this time, i concentrate on in door photography because out door very boring liao.

After kek lok si, we wen down to air hitam market to eat snd round breakfast. char kuew tiao, duck gui cham, and yau yau favorite apong balik. yummy...still that nice and delicious.

Then we went back to hotel to check out and move to higher floor. We saw many ppl playing around the beach, so changed to KC, 55-240mm telelense to try some panning shooting :) the most interesting thing we saw is 1 guy tried to surf, haha....mana boleh...no wave at all....100 tries, 100 fails... stupid.

After moved to 14 floor from 6 floor, the view is much more better :) Then we went out again to do some more shopping at gurney plaza. the traffic in afternoon is very very bad, jam like federal highway in KL. Police have to block the road and direct traffic. after 30mins, only got car park.

We miss the mua zi so much and wait for the uncle outside of gurney plaza, but no luck.... the uncle didnt appear. After Gurney Plaza, is time to buy Penang famous food, Dao Sa Bia. Him Hiang not opened that day, so we go Gwee Hiang. As usual, still many ppl but not as many as Him Hiang.

Around 6pm we back to Hotel again to wait for ee kin and friend. then we went to bukit tambun for seafood dinner around 7.30pm. before we go, take a group picture 1st :)

When we reached Bukit Tambun, cant find car park. many many cars there. walao.... we went back to prawn village and ordered 7 dishes, only RM150. so cheap. hehe... This round KC and Ee kin belanjar us because they got bonus... thanks ya...

After back to hotel, nothing to do again, then we started our game, Cho Dai Di.... i am the loser for that night, damn.... since nothing to do, me and ee kin start to do some stupid style and special effect with my camera... hehe... Penang really very boring at night.

Last day, the weather very very nice, the sky is so clear and blue, very suitable to shoot photo. After back from breakfast - Lorong Seratus Tahun Curry Noodle, we went to beach and Pool side to take some nice photo... the sky is really blue especially with my Cir-Polarizer. KC have to spend more money now after see CPL effect..hehe...kena poison :D

After check out, is time to balik....after long journey, reached home around 6pm. tired tired tired.... but nice trip :D

Kim Seng & Helen's Wedding Dinner

16 Dec 2005 is Kim Seng & Helen's Wedding Dinner. Too bad we cant attend their actual wedding day in morning because busy and cant take leave. I saw many many ex Inti classmate, ex Gateway colleuge and old friend that long time no see (1 guy back from UK - 4th Pic). Many of them have changed in term of physical look. (emmm.... maybe they also think that to me - fatty boom boom, hehe). I brought my camera to their dinner, mana tahu, their official photog's camera scare me off, Nikon D2x and D100. Malu malu... hehe... nevermind, i still can take my own photo mah.. so i start shooting.... at the end i became their 3rd unofficial PhotoG. hehe... Last but not least, Congrats to Kim Seng & Helen, Zao Sheng Gui Zi (早生贵子) :D

yAu yAu's Family Day at A'Famosa

3 Dec 2005 is yau yau's family day. we went down to Melaka to meet her family. After taken very delicous chicken rice ball, we went toward A'Famosa. We stayed in Bunglow with private swimming pool, very nice and quiet environment. Basically the 1st day we enjoyed at bunglow with yau yau's mum delicous sponge cake and guava. 2nd day morning, we had our complimentary breakfast at Water World. After breakfast, the water world just opened and we start our water activity in there. we played until 11am and prepare to pack and go back to bunglow for check out. Very happy and Enjoyed Trip. :)

Dragon I in 1 Utama

2 Dec 2005 - Went to Dragon I in 1 Utama to try their specialty - Xiao Long Bao (小笼包). Seriously, damn nice. RM8 for 4 pieces but value for money. Besides Xiao Long Bao, we tried their Fried Souce Noodle ( Zha Jiang Mian in Mandarin - 炸酱面）, Logan White Fungus Tang Shui (龙眼白木耳糖水) and dessert Guo Tie (锅贴）. All foods are nice except for dessert, RM10 and not so good. Soon we will go back to try other food

Tips: Xiao Long Bao or commonly referred to as "Soup Dumplings" is one of the finest Chinese Delicacy. The exact originns of Xiao Long Bao is unknown, but they first appeared in northwest of Shang Hai, at least 100 years ago. This ubiquitous little bundle of joy is indigenous to almost every culture. 1 Dec 2005 - yAu yAu cooked a very nice Tong Shui that learned from Babe in the City - KL. "Boil honey dates (mutt choe in Cantonese) and thinly sliced apples till they turn opaque. Add in rock sugar to taste. You can use a slow cooker and leave it on for about 4 - 6 hours. Super cooling ( yoon in Cantonese) on hot hot days"

Went to Langkawi last weekend with yauyau for 4 days 3 nights, really enjoy this trip and thanks to Berjaya Vacation Club (BVC) to provide us a very good and special accommodation.

First of all, talk about the transportation to Langkawi. We have cheated by MAS Airline. 1 month ago, MAS was having promotion for all domestic flight with 50% discount, however last minutes they said the flight we want to book got no offer because peak period and have to pay full payment. At the end, we have to go back to Air Asia. If we know no discount during peak period from MAS, we can save almost RM200 by book Air Asia early.

Once we reached there, we start looking for car rental. We met a very nice guy offered us a new auto Wira (ran 62xx km only) for 4 days only RM180 (RM45 per day). Really cheap and started fill up form, sign, pay money, collect the key and start going toward to Berjaya Langkawi Beach & Spa Resort which 15 mins from Airport.

On the way to resort, we saw a petrol station and we need to pump some petrol since the petrol left not much. This Petronas petrol station is the more beautiful in Malaysia, I think. See the picture to believe.

Around 2pm, we reached Berjaya. After check in and got our room key, a bell boy helped us to send our luggage and fetch us to our room (4158) by a special car because from lobby to our room quite far about 500 meter

This is our room and surrounding just love it and so natural.

Our 1st day dinner was taken in Coco Beach Café which recommended by KC. Frankly speaking the food so so only and very expensive but the view is good because can see sunset while having dinner. Other than that, nothing special.

Another special is the penguins in underwater world, other than penguins just waste for your RM28.

Finally sold out my Fuji S9500 and got myself Nikon D70s. Yes, i have changed camera AGAIN and this is what i meant i am moving to Dark Side in my last post.

Prosumer really cant compare to DSLR specially the real shutter sound hehe....

Rush this camera for my Langkawi trip last week and really taken many many nice photos. I will post more for my langkawi trip soon.

After sold off my S602, I got my new camera S9500 which is the replacement of S602...

This S9500 is having the same feature like yauyau camera, such as Natural Light, up to 1600 ISO with low noise other than that it also got 10.7x Optical Zoom, powerful AF assistant lamp, power lens (28mm-300mm). besides that, i also got extra accessories for it such as +4 closed up filters, wide angel conversion lens and red hot crumpler camera bag.

This morning, a big fat black rabbit came to our house and stayed until evening also dont want to go, so decided to keep it in our house. So 1 more family member joint our sweet home...

we called him HAK ZAI 黑仔 because today is his first day come to our house and same day my car kena scratched but small matter lah...

yauyau no worry, ok?

After we came back to office, go straight to pet shop and get him a cage, drinking bottle, rabbit's food. All expanses are shared by me, yau yau, leonard and ee kin (by forced, haha!!!).

He is quite naughty, sniff around in the house and keep biting newspaper that we put in his cage... maybe too happy or too nervous, hehe....

Finally Snow Wolf Lake come back again. we are going to Singapore this coming Friday for it and celebrate my mum birthday as well.

Cant wait for it liao... besides that we are planning to go several places as well such as Sim Lim Square for my camera lens, queensway for yauyau sport shoes to replace her lost Nike shoes :)

Shalini's Guest House

This is where we stay for our Penang trip last week.
Once we stepped into the house and room, walao eh... so ba lia...
The landlady just stay downstair and 2nd floor has been partitioned became at least 11 rooms to rent.

This guest house is recommanded and arrange by Yong Howe, very very cheap, only RM45 per night (Thank you to Yong Howe because we really saved a lot of money for accommodation)

The room facilities, except for air-con, fan, light, 2 single beds, NOTHING else available.
The toilet and bathroom room are sharing with other guests as well but still consider ok because it is quite clean.
Actually the facilities in every rooms are different because other rooms bed quality is quite good got queen size bed as well. However my bed is sucks... like water bed, too soft. I got 1 question, dont know they actually change the bed sheet or not :p

Besides that we also encountered that quite a lot of gwai lou and indian like to stay there.

1st night, cant really sleep but 2nd night no problem already maybe too tired :)

Anyway this is really a good and new exprience for me. Am I right, Adeline ??? haha

yauyau's birthday

today is my dearest yauyau birthday. i have passed the present to her last night and she is very happy because that is her favorite perfume - DKNY - Be Delicous (Green Apple)

so today, we took leave and went out for celebration.

belows are today journey:

1. woke up around 10am and start preparing ourselves.
2. when everything is ready, opened door, wao... saw a present from our housemate - Leonard.
3. returned to room and open the present. emm....yauyau really like it. thanks to Leonard.
4. reached ikano around 11am and had breakfast at Uncle Lim.
5. after breakfast, we went toward ikea to buy a vase because i gave her a bouqet of flower which she dont know and gave her a very big supprise because i seldom give flower 1... hehe..
6. bought a vase from ikea and left ikano.
7. reached 1u around 12.30pm. since still full and early, we went for movie - Stealth at new cinema - GSC. the seat is large and comfortable.
8. came out from cinema around 3pm and shop around.
9. shop until 4pm, we went for our lunch + dinner at Fridays - 1 of our favorite western food because of their Jack Daniel Sauce. see pic below.
10. after makan is about 5.30pm already. after food we felt tired and decided go home.
11. around 5.45pm. balik rumah...

hope yauyau really enjoyed today.... :D
